Monthly Report No.88 (January 15, 2018)

 

Dear AC21 members,

 

Greetings from the AC21 General Secretariat! 2018 will be another productive year for the AC21, as we have already got many activities lined up. Please let us share with you some updates and information.

 

 

1) SPF 2018 Application To Close Soon

The Application period for the AC21 Special Project Fund 2018 will close on January 31, 2018.

The SPF provides those who pursue more research collaboration with AC21 colleagues with a fund of 10,000USD.

Thanks to our members' support and enthusiasm, the number of the SPF applications has increased each year for the past few years.

All applications must be submitted by email to the General Secretariat from your university's AC21 Communicator as specified in the Guidelines. Applicants should please read carefully the Guidelines to make sure their applications conform to the instructions therein.

 

 

2) IF 2018 To Be Held at Jilin

The 2018 International Forum will be organized by Jilin University from July 4-7, 2018 with the theme of "University Innovation and Social Development".

The participants will discuss and share their experience and insights on several issues related to this theme, including: Innovation and Entrepreneurship; Interdisciplinary Research & International Collaboration; MOOCs and Reform in Higher Education; Innovative Networks for Higher Institutions.

Additionally, a mini session will be combined with the IF from 2018 onwards to share general profile and outcomes of the AC21 SPF awarded projects with the audience from AC21 members and beyond, which is based on the decision made at the STC Meeting 2017.

 

Once further details, such as the program, call for presentations or registration instructions, will be released from Jilin, we will update you with such information.

 

 

3) Second STC Skype Meeting

The AC21 STC Meeting is conducted every three month over Skype on a trial basis, in addition to the physical STC Meeting to be held annually. The next STC Skype Meeting is expected to be organized on January 24. A brief agenda will be sent out to the STC members soon.
