Our editorial focus draws on the themes that defined the AC21 legacy — but we aim to look forward as much as backward, examining how the models pioneered by consortia like AC21 are being adapted, replicated, or replaced in the current higher education environment.

Planned topics include the role of digital infrastructure in sustaining academic activities across borders, comparative funding models for international research, and case studies from the publications archive that remain relevant to practitioners today.
